Rollinsville is a tiny mountain community tucked along Highway 119 between Nederland and Black Hawk, right on the banks of South Boulder Creek. With fewer than two hundred residents, it has a relaxed, rural feel where life moves at a much slower pace than in the cities down below. Most of the town sits near the junction where East Portal Road heads up into the high country toward Rollins Pass and the James Peak Wilderness. While daily conveniences and groceries usually require a quick ten-minute drive north into Nederland, Rollinsville gives residents direct access to mountain trails, creek fishing, and quiet living among the pines.
