About Rosanky

Rosanky is a quiet rural community in southern Bastrop County, located along FM 535 about 11 miles south of Bastrop and a short drive from Smithville. With around 1,500 residents, the town got its start in the 1850s when Prussian immigrant Ed Rosanky settled the area. Over the decades, it grew from a busy cattle stop and railroad depot into the peaceful, close-knit countryside settlement you see today.
