Roseto is a quiet Northampton County borough with deep Italian roots. Founded by immigrants who came to work the local slate quarries, it became America’s first all-Italian municipality. The town later gained worldwide fame when researchers discovered that its close social bonds were actually keeping residents healthy, leading to remarkably low heart disease rates.
