About Rossmoyne

Rossmoyne is a Hamilton County census-designated place in Sycamore Township, about 13 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati. In the 19th century it went by Mill Dale, a name that gives the old settlement a different feel from the present suburban map. Rossmoyne is bordered by Deer Park, Dillonvale, Blue Ash, and Kenwood, with downtown serving as the local reference point inside that ring of municipalities. It is a compact place without its own city government, so the township and surrounding communities do much of the administrative work. Rossmoyne’s local story is mostly a matter of names and boundaries: Mill Dale in the old record, Rossmoyne today, and a small patch of Hamilton County pressed between Cincinnati-area suburbs.
