About Ryan Park

Ryan Park is a Carbon County census-designated place in the Medicine Bow National Forest along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway. Barrett Creek and the forest corridor define its local map: Ryan Park Campground sits at 8,009 feet, and the Brush Creek Visitor Center is 2.5 miles west. The site also carries a 1930s wartime history: it was used as a prisoner-of-war camp by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The same corridor supports hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, and year-round recreation.
