Saline is a city in Washtenaw County, Michigan, situated along the Saline River just south of Ann Arbor. Named by early Native Americans who traveled to the area to harvest salt from local springs, the community of approximately 9,000 hosts the popular annual Celtic Festival. Public education is administered by Saline Area Schools, which operates multiple campuses including Harvest and Pleasant Ridge elementary schools.
