About San Felipe Pueblo
San Felipe Pueblo is a Sandoval County Pueblo community between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, ten miles north of Bernalillo. The Pueblo's official history reaches through Spanish, Mexican, and U.S. territorial periods, with its sovereignty and land grant affirmed in the nineteenth century. Keres remains the community's living language, and the annual Feast of St. Philip on May 1 includes traditional corn dances. San Felipe Pueblo is a New Mexico place whose story is carried by its people, its language, and a history that predates the modern map.
