San Ysidro, NM (Village)

San Ysidro is a tiny, peaceful village tucked into the red-rock landscape of the Jemez River Valley in Sandoval County. Sitting right where Highway 550 meets Route 4, it acts as the scenic gateway to the Jemez Mountains while keeping a slow, quiet pace of its own. The community has agricultural roots stretching back to the late 1600s, named for the patron saint of farmers. Today, around two hundred people call it home, enjoying big open skies, mild four-season high desert weather, and dramatic canyon views right outside their front doors.
