Sardis is a small, quiet community in Saline County, located about twelve miles east of Benton and bordered by East End and Bauxite. It offers a scenic rural setting where wooded lots, open fields, and nearby Hurricane Creek create a relaxed pace of everyday life. The settlement first took shape in the late nineteenth century around the local Methodist congregation, and that peaceful, community-focused character remains central today.
