Sardis City is a town in Etowah and Marshall counties, Alabama, situated on the scenic plateau of Sand Mountain. Serving as a part of the Gadsden metropolitan area, the community originally incorporated under the name Sardis in 1963 before officially adopting its current name in the 1980s. While most of the town lies in northern Etowah County, a small section extends north into Marshall County, providing a peaceful residential environment for its eighteen hundred residents.
