About Savoy

Savoy is a growing village in Champaign County, Illinois, situated directly south of the city of Champaign. Part of the Champaign-Urbana metropolitan area, the residential community of approximately 9,000 is located less than two miles from the University of Illinois campus. Named in honor of Italian Princess Maria Clotilde of Savoy following her visit in 1861, the village is served by the Champaign Unit 4 School District.
