About Scandia

Scandia is a city in Washington County, Minnesota, situated along the St. Croix River halfway between Stillwater and Taylors Falls. Named for its rich Scandinavian heritage, the community of approximately 3,950 features the Gammelgården museum, which has preserved Swedish immigrant history since 1972. Local students attend public schools in the Forest Lake Area School District.
