About Seelyville

Seelyville got its start in the late 1800s as a small railroad stop just east of Terre Haute. Local landowner Jonas Seely served as the first station agent, and the surrounding settlement soon took his name. While trains helped put the town on the map, U.S. 40 now serves as the main route through the area, giving residents a straight shot into Terre Haute for work, dining, and daily errands.
