Selah, WA

Selah is a Yakima County city just north of Yakima, where the dry hills and irrigated valley meet. Its name comes from an Indigenous word often translated as still or smooth water, and the nearby creeks and Yakima River system help frame the setting. Wenas Lake and the upper valley add a recreation and ranch-country feel. Selah feels sunny, dry, and local, with fruit warehouses, schools, hills, and Yakima close enough to shape work and shopping without erasing the town.
