About Seldovia

Seldovia is a historic coastal city in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, situated on the south shore of Kachemak Bay opposite Homer. Home to around two hundred and fifty year-round residents, the community has a rich heritage of Dena'ina Athabaskan and Alutiiq Eskimo cultures. Historically a active hub for fox farming and canning, the city's modern economy relies on commercial fishing and tourism. Seldovia is served by a local K-12 school and is accessible primarily by air or water.
