About Seymour

Seymour is a Sevier County census-designated place in a rolling valley near the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. It began around Newell's Station, a frontier station established by early settler Samuel Newell, and still feels connected to the older routes between Knoxville, Sevierville, and the mountain communities beyond. Bluff Mountain and the Smokies give Seymour its backdrop, while schools, churches, and commuter traffic give it the everyday feel of a growing East Tennessee community.
