Sharon, KS

Sharon is a tiny south-central Kansas community in Barber County with around 150 residents. Set out among the open plains, it offers quiet rural living where neighbors know everyone on the block. Locals still hold onto a proud athletic history, frequently reminiscing about the old Sharon Cardinals and their state championship runs in basketball and eight-man football. While schools have since consolidated with neighboring districts, Sharon keeps that tight-knit prairie charm where life moves at an easy, unhurried pace.
