About Shepherdsville
Shepherdsville is a city on the banks of the Salt River and the county seat of Bullitt County, Kentucky. Located just south of Louisville, the community of approximately 14,500 was historically the site of Kentucky's first commercial salt works, which closed in the 1830s due to out-of-state competition. Today, the town serves as a key commercial hub for the county, with local public school students attending campuses operated by Bullitt County Public Schools.
