About Sicily Island
Sicily Island is a village in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, United States. The 2020 census counted 336 residents. In the early 1700s, the area that would become Sicily Island was the site of a Natchez settlement. Sicily Island's local map joins its older history to the places and landscapes that still shape the town today, all within the wider Louisiana setting. The local scoop is how Sicily Island's history still shows up in the places people visit, work, learn, and meet. Sicily Island is located in northeastern Catahoula Parish.
