Siesta Key, FL

Siesta Key is a barrier-island community off Sarasota, famous for Siesta Beach and its bright white sand. The island has had several names, including Little Sarasota Key and Sarasota Key, before the modern name stuck. Siesta Key is organized around four main districts: Siesta Beach, Crescent Beach, Turtle Beach, and Siesta Key Village. It is a beach community first, but not only a resort strip; canals, condos, cottages, restaurants, and year-round residents all share the narrow island.
