Silver Lake, OR

Silver Lake is a tiny high-desert community in central Oregon, set along Highway 31 about 80 miles southeast of Bend. With around 160 residents, day-to-day life moves at an easy pace amid vast sagebrush plains and open mountain views. The local K-12 school, North Lake School, serves as a hub for neighboring families, while a general store, gas station, and post office handle the daily essentials. Located near the edge of the Fremont-Winema National Forest and named for the lake just east of town, Silver Lake offers quiet country living, incredible night skies, and quick access to the outdoors.
