Singers Glen, VA

Tucked against the base of Little North Mountain in Rockingham County, Singers Glen is a quiet Shenandoah Valley community with deep musical roots. Originally called Mountain Valley, the village took its name in the 19th century from Joseph Funk, a pioneer of shape-note choral music who ran a bustling print shop here. The village center still retains that historic character, lined with well-preserved 19th-century houses featuring classic woodwork, large front porches, and open views of the surrounding hills.
