Soldotna, AK

Soldotna is a city and the borough seat of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. Established along the Kenai River in 1947 when the U.S. government opened the land to homesteaders, the city borders the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. The local economy is supported by borough administration offices and tourism, with the Soldotna Visitor Center at the Kenai River Bridge showcasing regional wildlife. It is also home to the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District administration.
