Solomon, AZ

Tucked into southeastern Arizona's Gila Valley, Solomon is a quiet farming community just a few miles east of Safford. Originally known as Pueblo Viejo because of ancient ruins found along the river, the settlement grew as early families built irrigation canals to cultivate the fertile valley floor. Today, it is home to around 400 people who enjoy wide-open skies, peaceful fields, and great views of Mount Graham rising to the southwest.

Daily life here moves at a relaxed pace centered around family farms and the local Solomon Elementary School, which serves neighborhood kids from preschool through eighth grade. For high school, groceries, healthcare, and dining out, residents take the quick drive down Highway 70 into Safford or Thatcher. It offers peaceful country living with the advantage of having essential valley conveniences just down the road.
