Community Park construction altered Solon's 2026 event calendar. Parking, restrooms, and field lighting were unavailable for the city's July fireworks, so the accompanying band concert and several community events moved to Bicentennial Park. The renovation plan includes a permanent stage that the city hoped to open late in 2026, but it was not yet an operating venue at midyear. Indoor and smaller-site programming continued around that work. The Solon Community Center has an indoor track, gymnasium, fitness rooms, climbing wall, indoor and seasonal outdoor pools, meeting rooms, and adaptive recreation. Solon Center for the Arts runs theater, visual-art, dance, and music classes, private lessons, exhibitions, and performances. A weekly farmers market met at Bicentennial Park from July through September 2026, combining farm goods with artisans, food trucks, and arts-center performances.

At the city's eastern edge, South Chagrin Reservation adds wooded trails and picnic areas within the Cleveland Metroparks system; its current map identifies the Blue Heron Trail and several access points near Solon Road. Population shifted from 24,262 in the 2020 census to a July 2025 estimate of 23,679. Nearly 20 percent of residents were foreign-born, and 24 percent of people age five or older spoke a language other than English at home. Workers' average travel time was about 23 minutes. During the renovation, Bicentennial Park absorbed events that Community Park ordinarily hosted, while year-round activity remained distributed among the community center, arts center, and Metroparks land.
