Somerset, MA

Somerset is a Bristol County town on Mount Hope Bay, across the Taunton River area from Fall River. Its history shifted as neighboring Fall River's industry expanded, absorbing much of Somerset's own industrial role and leaving the town with a more suburban character. Somerset has its own public school system and participates in the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School system in Fall River. The town's waterfront setting, bridges, and proximity to larger South Coast communities make it feel residential but still closely tied to regional industry and commuting.
