South Lancaster, MA

South Lancaster is a quiet, historic village in the Nashua River valley, located right next to Clinton in Central Massachusetts. Home to around 1,800 residents, the area has a relaxed, small-town feel with leafy back roads, classic older houses, and historic churches. Much of the village grew around its Seventh-day Adventist roots, and landmarks like Founders Hall along with the former Atlantic Union College campus give the neighborhood a distinctive, open setting. For shopping, dining, and commuting, Route 117 and Route 70 connect you quickly to Clinton, Leominster, and Worcester.

Families moving to the village are served by the Nashoba Regional School District, while South Lancaster Academy provides a private option for preschool through twelfth grade. Daily life here is quiet and scenic, with easy access to river trails, local farm stands, and open green space. Like much of Worcester County, you can expect classic New England weather, from snowy winters to warm, green summers. It is a peaceful, welcoming neighborhood if you want small-town tranquility within an easy drive of larger neighboring communities.
