About Sparta

Sparta is a city and the county seat of White County, Tennessee, situated along the Calfkiller River at the western base of the Cumberland Plateau. Established in 1809 and home to seven sites on the National Register of Historic Places, the community of approximately 4,939 is served by the White County Schools district for public education.
