Spring Gardens, TX

Spring Gardens is a Nueces County census-designated place, where the 2020 census counted 497 residents. Before the 2010 census, it was part of the Spring Garden-Terra Verde CDP, so its current map represents a smaller boundary within the same South Texas landscape. Robstown lies about five miles northeast, and the surrounding land connects Spring Gardens to the rural edge of the Corpus Christi area. Robstown Independent School District provides the local public-school connection. The CDP covers about one square mile, keeping the present boundary compact and easy to place.

Del Mar College is the designated community college for all of Nueces County, giving Spring Gardens a path into a countywide education network beyond the CDP itself. Local routines follow the pattern of homes, open land, school routes, and trips toward Robstown or other county centers. Spring Gardens is a place whose name and boundary have changed on paper while its school district and coastal-plain setting continue to connect it to the larger county.
