Spring Grove, IN

Spring Grove is a tiny, peaceful pocket tucked directly inside northern Richmond. Even though the larger city grew up all around it over the decades, Spring Grove held onto its independent status and quiet, historic character. The town traces its roots back to Isaac Evans, a 19th-century Quaker settler whose 1855 brick home still stands today. That old homestead now doubles as the town hall and the Quaker Hill Conference Center, giving the neighborhood an authentic connection to early Indiana history.

Living here offers a great balance of nature and convenience. The East Fork of the Whitewater River winds right past town, with scenic spots like Thistlethwaite Falls and the wooded Sim Hodgin Parkway practically in the backyard. Chester Boulevard and U.S. 27 run right through the area, making it easy to run errands or commute into central Richmond in minutes.
