Springhill, LA

Tucked away in the pine forests of northern Webster Parish, Springhill is a quiet, welcoming community about thirty miles north of Minden near the Arkansas state line. The town grew up around the timber boom in the late 1800s, and that history is still visible as you drive around. You can check out the preserved sawmill steam engine at Frank Anthony Park or take a walk past the vintage brick storefronts along Main Street.

Community traditions are a big part of living here, starting with the annual Lumberjack Festival each fall with its log-splitting and sawing competitions. Throughout the year, residents turn out for the Springhill Rodeo, seasonal parades downtown, and live music at the monthly Piney Woods Jamboree. Downtown is also home to the restored 1946 Spring Theatre, Louisiana's largest single-screen cinema. With just under 5,000 residents, Springhill offers a relaxed, small-town rhythm where neighbors look out for one another and local heritage runs deep.
