Squirrel Mountain Valley, CA

Squirrel Mountain Valley is a Kern County CDP of 760 residents in the 2020 census, in the southern Sierra Nevada east of Lake Isabella. The community lies among mountain slopes in the Kern River Valley, with Lake Isabella, the Kern River, and the Sequoia National Forest defining the larger map. Highway 178 and the roads around Lake Isabella connect the valley’s smaller settlements to Bakersfield and the southern Sierra.
