St. Francis is a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, situated along the western shore of Lake Michigan as a suburb of Milwaukee. Originally part of the Town of Lake, the community of approximately 9,004 was incorporated as an independent city to prevent annexation by neighboring Milwaukee. Public education is served by the Saint Francis School District, which operates three local schools.
