St. Jo, TX

Tucked into the rolling hills of northern Montague County near the Red River, Saint Jo has the feel of an authentic Texas frontier town. It started out in the 1870s as a favorite final stop for cattle drovers heading north across the river, and you can still see that western heritage throughout the historic town square. The square is home to the Stonewall Saloon, an 1873 landmark that once poured drinks for passing cowboys and now serves as a local museum.
