St. Leo, FL

St. Leo is a quiet, picturesque town tucked into the rolling green hills of eastern Pasco County, right along State Road 52 between San Antonio and Dade City. Home to around 2,000 residents, the community has deep historic roots dating back to the 1880s, when Benedictine monks established Saint Leo Abbey and a small Catholic college on the shores of Lake Jovita. That rich heritage is still very much alive today, giving the town a distinct, timeless charm.

The original college has grown into Saint Leo University, which serves as the heart of the town alongside scenic Lake Jovita and neighboring golf courses. It is a peaceful place to settle down, offering open space, lakeside views, and a tight-knit college town feel. When you need more shopping, dining, or big-city amenities, Dade City is just down the road, and easy access to Interstate 75 puts downtown Tampa and the rest of the Bay Area within a comfortable drive.
