St. Paul, OR

St. Paul is a Marion County city on Oregon Route 219, a French Prairie settlement named for the Saint Paul Mission founded by Archbishop François Norbert Blanchet. A log church went up near the site in 1836, the Pioneer Cemetery dates to 1839, and St. Paul Roman Catholic Church was built in 1846; that brick church is often described as the oldest brick building in the Pacific Northwest. The city’s other big marker is the St. Paul Rodeo, held every Fourth of July since 1935 and inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2023. Mission Creek marks the southeast edge.
