Stanley, VA

Stanley is a Page County town in the Shenandoah Valley, with 1,703 residents in the 2020 census. US 340 Business is the main road through town, linking Stanley northeast toward Luray and southwest toward Shenandoah. The Blue Ridge and Massanutten country frame the town, while Page County schools and the town's parks keep the daily map close to the valley floor. Stanley is small, but it sits in a landscape where farms, mountains, and Shenandoah River roads are never far apart. The town's clearest historic markers sit just beyond the storefronts.

Fort Philip Long, an eighteenth-century fortified house near the Shenandoah River, and Graves Chapel and Cemetery are both listed on the National Register. Stanley's parks, town hall, and US 340 Business make the modern center easy to follow, while Luray and Shenandoah provide larger nearby destinations.
