About Stanton

Stanton grew around a 19th-century railroad depot surrounded by Haywood County farmland. Back in the 1850s, residents and businesses from the nearby settlement of Wesley packed up and moved four miles down the road to be closer to the tracks, officially putting Stanton on the map. For generations since, it has remained a quiet, tight-knit country town with deep agricultural roots.
