Stanwood, WA

Stanwood is a small city in Snohomish County near the Stillaguamish River delta. The area has been home to Stillaguamish people for thousands of years, and that river setting still shapes the town's geography. Stanwood later developed around farming, trade, and food processing, with Camano Island just to the west and Interstate 5 not far inland. It feels like a gateway between the Skagit-Snohomish lowlands, island recreation, and the quieter north end of the Seattle metro region.
