About Sterling

Sterling is a city and the county seat of Logan County, Colorado, situated along the South Platte River as the largest municipality in the state's Eastern Plains region. Established in 1874 and named after Sterling, Illinois, the community of approximately 13,200 hosts the historic domed Logan County Courthouse built in 1909. The city is the home of Northeastern Junior College and is served by the RE-1 Valley School District.
