Tucked against a towering sandstone ridge roughly 30 miles west of Trinidad, Stonewall Gap offers a quiet, slow-paced slice of southern Colorado mountain living. Set at nearly 8,000 feet along the scenic Highway of Legends, this tiny community sits right beneath the Sangre de Cristo range. Life here is peaceful and remote, centered around pine forests, cool mountain air, and great fishing and hiking at nearby lakes. For newcomers, it offers true privacy and some of the most striking mountain scenery in southern Colorado.
