About Strang

Strang has one of Nebraska's quirkier origin stories: in 1886, a local salesman named A. L. Strang traded a working windmill just to have the town named after him. That very same windmill still stands near Main Street today. Situated along U.S. 81 and Highway 74, this quiet rural village centers around a few cozy community spots, including City Park, Pumper Park, and a local history museum housed in a restored 19th-century township hall.
