Strathmoor Village, KY

Strathmoor Village is a small home-rule city in Jefferson County, set in Louisville’s upper Highlands between Bardstown Road and Taylorsville Road. It dates to 1928 and is made up of roughly 300 households, with a mayor and four commissioners handling city business. The place is residential by design: tree-lined streets, sidewalks, landscaped islands, streetlights, and neighborhood events all sit inside its own municipal structure. Louisville is right next door in the practical sense, but Strathmoor Village has its own boundaries, services, and identity.
