Stratton, CO

Stratton is a statutory town in Kit Carson County on Colorado's eastern plains, along the I-70 corridor near the Kansas line. Colorado 57 runs through town between the interstate and U.S. 24, making Stratton a practical stop for the farms, ranches, and long highway distances around it. The town was named for Winfield Scott Stratton, the Colorado gold miner and philanthropist. Kit Carson County's economy is built around wheat, corn, livestock, and the small communities spread along the corridor.
