Strayhorn, MS

Strayhorn sits about ten miles west of Senatobia along Highway 4 in western Tate County. Life here is quiet and rural, giving residents plenty of open space while staying within reasonable reach of the greater Memphis area. Most daily activity clusters right along the main road. That is where you will find everyday staples like Hudspeth’s Grocery, the Strayhorn Snack Bar, a Dollar General, and Strayhorn Baptist Church, which has served local families since the late 1800s.

Although Strayhorn was briefly an incorporated town in the early 1900s, it has long since settled into a relaxed country crossroads surrounded by farmland and timber. Locals make the quick drive into Senatobia for bigger shopping trips, healthcare, and access to Interstate 55, but Strayhorn maintains a close-knit feel centered on the local schools, Sunday services, and friendly neighbors. It is a welcoming spot for anyone looking for peaceful country living with easy access to nearby towns.
