Sturgis, SD

Sturgis is the county seat of Meade County, South Dakota, situated at the base of the Black Hills. Named for Union General Samuel D. Sturgis and founded in 1878, the city of approximately 7,086 is famous for hosting the massive annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Public education is served by Meade School District 46-1.
