Sugar Notch, PA

Sugar Notch gets its sweet name from the grove of sugar maples that once filled the mountain gap above town. Located in the Wyoming Valley just south of Wilkes-Barre, this small Luzerne County borough has deep roots in the region's historic coal industry. Today, it is a peaceful, close-knit community with quiet residential streets, classic older homes, and friendly neighbors who often stay for generations.

Local students attend the Hanover Area School District, and nearby highways make commuting into Wilkes-Barre or Scranton straightforward.
