Sullivan, IN

Sullivan is a welcoming small town in western Indiana that serves as the county seat of Sullivan County. Located about thirty minutes south of Terre Haute along US Route 41, it offers a relaxed pace of life with straightforward highway access to larger regional amenities. With a population of around 4,200 residents, the community retains a classic Midwestern charm shaped by its historic downtown square and rich heritage in agriculture and coal mining.

Day-to-day life centers around the courthouse square, which is home to local shops, the Sullivan County History Museum, and a charming 1905 Carnegie library. Local students are served by the Southwest School Corporation, home of the Sullivan Golden Arrows. The town comes together throughout the year for local events, most notably the annual Sullivan Rotary Corn Festival and Carnival each September, which brings neighbors downtown for food, parades, and family entertainment.
