About Sultan

Sultan is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains at the confluence of the Skykomish and Sultan rivers. Founded in 1880 on the site of a Skykomish village during a local gold rush, the town of approximately 6,100 developed as a logging and mining hub. The community hosted a Civilian Conservation Corps camp during the Great Depression and is located twenty-three miles east of Everett along Highway 2.
