Summerfield, NC

Summerfield is a town in Guilford County, north of Greensboro. The area was settled around 1769 by Charles Bruce and became known as Bruce's Crossroads before later taking the Summerfield name. Its historic district, schools, and larger residential lots give the town a quieter, more rural-suburban feel than Greensboro proper. Summerfield has grown with the Triad, but it still leans on open space, local roads, and a village-style identity. It feels like a place where people choose elbow room without leaving the region.
